According to the NCB Stockbrokers’ purchasing managers index (PMI) the Irish services sector expanded in October, for the 10th month in a row. This was led by software sales but exporters are saying that growth generally is slowing.
Overall new services business fell in October but new export orders were up, but this is not having a positive impact on the job situation just yet.
Separately, the Irish Exporters’ Association has cut its forecast for export growth in 2011 from 7% to 5%.
