Lawyer’s warning on Bruton’s employment rights reform plan

Not enough time is being provided for proper consultation on the Government plan to overhaul the country’s employment rights bodies while the consultation paper issued by the Department of Enterprise & Innovations is also ‘too short’, according to Employment Lawyer, Jennifer Cashman.

Ms. Cashman, a partner in Ronan Daly Jermyn, told IRN that she believes there is a particular problem with cases currently in the pipeline – what will happen to cases brought before a certain date?  In her view, any overhaul of our employment legislation system must provide for a system of alternative disputes resolution.

Voltedge will keep our clients updated on the progress of this reform plan, and it’s potential effect on all employers.
